You of all (imaginary) people know that winter is a favorite season of mine, but this is getting a little ridiculous!
Don't get me wrong, I love the snow, it is so tranquil and calming, I love watching it fall from the sky , I love all of the unique shapes that the snowflakes form as they hit the ground. I do love it all, but I don't love the sounds of the snow plows, the fact that you can't even go outside because it is so very cold, that everywhere I want to go is too far to drive in this weather! Oh, how I long for a clear day so that I can venture out and hit my favorite Yarn Shop and look for some vintage goodies at the flea market! My children are longing for a day out of the house as well, we have painted nails, played dress-up and had family game night about every night, we are running out of things to occupy our time.

Sincerely,
Meg
So I guess lately I have a love/hate relationship with winter and snow. Old Man Winter, quit being so grumpy already!
Winter is my favorite season!! We have already had snow here 3 times this winter. That's pretty rare for Dallas. We are supposed to have snow again tonight I think.
ReplyDeleteI went to a thrift store today and I found a whole bag of ribbon (I collect ribbon among many other things) and I am in hog heaven! There must be over $100 worth of ribbon here. I also found a whole big bag of unique buttons. SO excited. I hope you get to go thrifting soon so we can compare fabulous finds. :)
thank you so much for your sweet birthday wishes! it made me so happy. :)
ReplyDeletewe're having way too much snow here too. it's not so much in centimeters (perhaps 20) but NOTHING works because of it. the traffic is a mess and taking the tram somewhere is close to impossible. the snow is lovely to look at, but sure hard to live with.
& i love the first song that plays on your blog (owl city), i've had it on repeat for weeks now. :)
Kristie~I hope to get out Friday, but I just got the call that my kids school is out the rest of the week, so that may not be happening, weather permitting or not. I love old buttons, I bought a jar of them last time I went to the flea market and my mom gave me a ton of them yesterday that were my Grandmother's.
ReplyDeleteStina~No problem, I hope that you had a wonderful Birthday! And welcome to my blog! I love the Owl City song too, my daughter always sings along with it when she hears it playing on my blog.
xoxo~Meg
We don't get snow where I am but it sounds like lots of work. We're less than a 2 hour drive away though which is nice. Love your playlist!!!
