Thursday...

Hello Everyone!

Today is an absolutely beautiful day here in Missouri, I am upstairs in the office listening to the wind blow through the trees, the birds chirping as they bathe in our bird bath and our wind chimes making pretty sounds as they are moved by the breeze,THIS is why I love living in a small town...it's quiet...no sirens, no noise of traffic...just silence!

I can't believe it is almost May!
It's almost time for the kids to out of school for their Summer break, it's almost time for us to head out on our long drive to South Carolina, it is almost my little girls 1st birthday...only 3 months (and a few days) away! Time is just flying by, faster than I think I can actually grasp!

Tuesday I went to my mother-in-laws to do a little sewing, I have a sewing machine of my own, but it is a 1959 Singer and it's a little intimadating!! I have been wanting to make Ragan and Izzy sundresses for Summer, I had the fabric and she had the time and patience to help me out, so here is the outcome...

I was so proud of myself and Ragan loved it!

I was inspired to make myself a cute tunic to add to my summer wardrobe by reading Alexandrea's blog and this post, so I am in the process of finishing it, I just have to make the ties for it and then I will post some pictures! I am also making myself a sundress/coverup out of some old vintage curtains that my mother-in-law had from a house they had lived in...it had the prettiest little yellow daises on it, I can't wait to get started!
It's so nice having a mother-in-law who I love hanging out with and that is so willing to teach me new things, she is one of those people who can just sit down and make something without a pattern to go by...yep, she's pretty much amazing!

I hope that you all have a wonderful day!
Remember...Enjoy the little things!
