I just wanted to tell you all a little bit about myself, some of you may already know these little tid bits about me and my life, but for those of you who are new to my blog here it goes...
I am horrified of spiders, but think that spiderwebs are just beautiful! How can something so creepy make something so amazing, GOD works in myterious ways, doesn't HE?
I am the youngest of 3 children, I have a sister who is 36 and a brother who took his own life 20 years ago, he would have been 42 this year! I still miss him everyday(a lot today for some reason)! I get angry with him at least once a week because of what he did and when I think about how our lives would be with him in it, he would have been an amazing "Uncle Brian"!
I was 27 years old when I was Baptized, when I was 5 I saw my sister get Baptized and it scared me because I thought the Pastor was drowning her, so I never did it when I was a kid. So at 27 I was Baptized in front of my children, my mom and Grandma, it was the best decision I have ever made!
I have lost 3 friends and a cousin to drunk driving, so needless to say, I am not a fan of drinking in general.
Besides my blog friends, I have maybe one real friend that I see about every month or so.
I hate my picture to be taken, I bet out of the thousands of photos I have saved on my computer there are only a handful of any with me in them!

I used to make Orthodontic Appliances(retainers, etc...) for a living, and I loved it! I did it for 12 years!
My first concert was Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young when I was 10 years old! And no, that isn't why I named my son Nash!

I am a complete homebody, I would rather sit on the couch with my family than go out somewhere!
This is my second marriage, but I have NO regrets about my first, I wouldn't have 2 of my 3 beautiful children if it wasn't for him.
My family heritage is German and Irish, as a matter of fact I still have family living in Germany!
I am not a big fan of chick flicks, I love epic movies that tell a story! But one of my favorite movies is "The Color Purple" I bet I have seen that movie 100 times and I still cry everytime I watch it! It is kind of a chick flick I guess, but it tells an amazing story!
I am a News and History Channel junkie! So when I'm not watching "The Office" I am watching the news or something educational on the History Channel!
I cuss, probably too much!
I have 3 tattoos that I got when I was too young, and I hate them all, but I would love to get another one by a real artist someday!
I have NEVER done an illegal drug, I don't smoke or drink!

I love knowing more about you! You're an amazing person. But I want you to take more pictures of yourself!!! If not for you, for your kids!!!! They're going to wonder where mommy is in all the pics when they get older!!! I dare you! ;) With your hubby, with your kids and by yourself!!! You can doooo it!!! hehe

ReplyDeleteI, too, LOVE The Office. It's my all-time favorite show. Jim Halpert is totally my boyfriend (I have a Dwight bobblehead sitting right next to me as I type this, hahaha).
I'm glad you posted pics of yourself. I, too, hate myself in photos and am usually the one taking the pictures. I think you are gorgeous!

I LOOOOVE Crosby Still Nash and Young-- Helplessly Hoping is probably my favorite.
Looks like we have a lot in common! Oh, I have three tattoos, as well, and no longer like any of them! Ugh!
Coming from another Irish German, I think it's sounds like you've had a very full life. Love The Office.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry about your brother. I've lost a friend who was murdered by her mother and another who just committed suicide this Christmas. Life is so hard after. It's hard not to be mad. Prayers to you...

ReplyDeleteI was born in Germany!! I lived there till I was 3, moved to Texas, went back when I was 5 and stayed there until about 9! It was beautiful :) You shouldn't hate your pic being taken miss lovely!! It was great learning more about you! I have a blog I have been working on about me too, just need to post it lol.

I too hate being in pictures - especially the past four years when my face had big breaks that do not go away. thankfully late last year it has been rectified and now it is back to normal. Thank God.
