Right outside of my window stands our bird bath, and sometimes I just sit here and listen to the birds flapping their wings as they play and wash off the dust from that days flight...since I've sat here I've seen 4 different types of birds bathing in our little bird bath, it is so peaceful! It is unseasonably warm here in Missouri, but the leaves are falling and that makes me happy...it's good living in a small town sometimes, there is no sounds of horns honking, that chatter of angry people walking down the street...yep, all I can here is the sound of the cars on the highway in the distance, the wind blowing through the trees and the sound of kids playing outside.
Here are a couple of cute "nature inspired" things I found on Etsy this week...
I am in love with this bean bag in the shape of a sleeping grizzly bear from Chic Sin Design...doesn't it look so real??? I also love this bolster pillow shaped like a freshly cut tree also found in this shop!
And how about these cute book ends created by Graphic Spaces Wood, the shop is full of woodland whimsy.
In a couple weeks we are having company over for a small get together, some friends from Gabe's work and one the couples are from India...they have never seen, let alone been to a small town and I am sure it will be a culture shock to them when they come, but it will be fun. They are bringing a traditional Indian appetizer to share with us...oh, and did I mention they are vegetarians, so I am trying to figure out something to make that we all will like...any suggestions? I am thinking mushroom & spinach pizza on the grill.
I hope you all are having a great weekend so far, as always...enjoy the little things, whether it's birds splashing in your bird bath or time spent with someone you love...just enjoy!
xoxo~Meg

Hi Meg, I love that bear bean bag :) xxx
ReplyDeletethe pizza sounds like a good idea. feel free to bring me some anytime. and umm...i thought that was actually a picture of a bear at first haha. those bean bags are awesome!! i love nature stuff. i saw the cutest scrapbook paper today at joanns and if i was rich i would have bought it all. there were all these little birds and owls and badgers and deer, etc. love!!
ReplyDeletei'm so jealous you actually have that paper!! i wanted it so bad but i couldn't justify it haha. there was one (i can't remember if it was that paper or a different one) that was 70% recycled paper, and had sheets that said "go green" and stuff like that on it. in the words of rachel zoe, i die.
ReplyDeleteI'll call you in a little bit.
